If something hurts, has broken or has swollen, don’t wait for it to get worse. These are the emergencies we see most often.
Severe toothache
Throbbing or constant pain, often from deep decay or an infected nerve. We find the cause and relieve the pain — often starting root canal treatment in the same visit.
Broken or chipped tooth
We smooth, bond or protect the tooth straight away, and plan a crown if a larger part has broken off.
Knocked-out tooth
Time matters. Keep the tooth moist in milk and come straight in — a tooth replaced within the hour can often be saved.
Lost filling or crown
We protect the exposed tooth quickly, then replace the filling or re-cement the crown.
Swelling, abscess or infection
Swelling of the gum or face needs prompt care. We treat the source of the infection and give you what you need to recover.
Wisdom tooth pain & bleeding
Painful, swollen gums around a wisdom tooth, or bleeding after an extraction — we’ll settle it and plan the next step.
Before you arrive
What to do right now.
Call or WhatsApp us first. Tell us what happened — a photo helps us prepare — and we’ll give you the earliest time.
Knocked-out tooth. Pick it up by the crown, not the root. Rinse gently if dirty, don’t scrub it, keep it in milk or inside your cheek, and come in immediately.
Broken tooth. Rinse with warm water, keep any pieces, and hold a cold compress on your cheek to limit swelling.
Toothache. Rinse with warm salt water and floss gently around the tooth. Don’t place painkillers directly on the gum.
Bleeding. Bite firmly on clean gauze for 15–20 minutes. If it doesn’t stop, call us.
Go to hospital first if… swelling affects your breathing or swallowing, you have a high fever, or there is a serious facial injury.
At the clinic
Relief first, then a clear plan.
01
Quick assessment
We examine the problem and take an X-ray if it’s needed.
02
Pain relief first
We make you comfortable — usually with local anaesthesia — before anything else.
03
Treat or stabilise
Many problems are fixed in the same visit; others are made safe until a follow-up.
04
Clear next steps
We explain any further treatment, the cost and the timing before you leave.

What counts as a dental emergency?
Severe pain, a knocked-out or badly broken tooth, swelling of the gum or face, or bleeding that won’t stop. If you’re not sure, send us a photo on WhatsApp.
When are you open?
Every day — Saturday to Thursday 10:00 am – 10:00 pm, and Friday 4:00 pm – 10:00 pm. We’re also open on government holidays.
Can a knocked-out tooth be saved?
Often, if it’s put back quickly — ideally within an hour. Keep it moist in milk or saliva and come straight to the clinic.
Will emergency treatment hurt?
We start with pain relief and local anaesthesia, so treatment is usually comfortable. Most people feel better as soon as the cause is treated.
